After spending last season on loan at Bolton Wanderers, Jack Wilshere has had the option to return to the Reebok Stadium and gain more experience.
Arsenal Boss, Arsene Wenger has wished that Jack will stay and fight for a first team place and gain that valuable experience at a top team.
Wenger Said:
“At the moment I want Jack to gain experience, if possible at Arsenal,”
“So I give him a chance now to play so that he can integrate into the first team.”
“But of course we will make that decision later. Ideally it is better that he gains experience with us.”
“I am a bit keen not to create too much hype around the young English players. They need to work hard and we have outstanding English talent.”
Wenger was pleased with the teams display agianst Sturm Graz
“In the first half Sturm Graz played quite well defensively,”
“Altogether it was our second match for the pre-season and I am quite satisfied with the evening.”
“Of course there is a difference [between the Austrian League and the Premier League] but Austria is on a good way and with young players.
“The English scouting system is a lot better and there is a lot more money they can use. There is a difference but Austrian football is on a good way.”
